A summertime stroll through the streets of Quebec City can confuse any visitor. French is spoken, cafes line the cobblestone streets, the food is delicious, and none of it is cheap. Yes, you may think you are actually walking the streets of Europe.
Most of my visits to the province of Quebec were to explore the city of Montreal, but on one recent visit I spent a long summer weekend in the charming Quebec City. On an afternoon stroll I stopped at a cafe take in a few beers in the outside air. A few pints later, I asked for the check as a chill entered the air with the sun starting to set. I started to head back to the hotel to freshen up (and warm up even in summer) before dinner. On the way back, I took this image of a building side in the sunset shadows.
Happy Sunset Sunday, and for my friends in Canada – Happy Canada Day.
stay adventurous, Craig
Although this is not technically Europe, I still consider it part of the European Summer Series. A case can be made for Quebec City.
