So what might make me pause my month of Mexican March Madness and post a sunset image from New Zealand? Simple – Blog4NZ.

Tourism is a way of life for many communities around the world and sometimes events alter their future. The recent earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand might influence travelers decisions to visit the entire country?
And as I understand it, the country of Kiwis is open for business and Blog4NZ was designed to promote positive stories about the country. The focus was to remind the world, “100% of the New Zealand is still here and 99% is accessible, even a lot of Canterbury — Hamner Springs, Arthurs Pass.” I don’t know those locations personally, but I am also told “All your favourite outdoor and adventure tourism spots are open,” and that’s great news.
I understand how press can alter travel to a destination (you may know I visit and write about Mexico often), but New Zealand still remains high on my bucket list, and with a sunset like this one – you can see why. So let’s enjoy this guest post and have a happy Sunset Sunday.
Lake Waikaremoana, New Zealand is one of the North Island’s top hiking spots, and with sunset views like this, who would question that wisdom? This photo was taken from a Department of Conservation campsite that cost about US$4 per person per night to stay at … so the price is right as well.
