Postcard-God Bless Buffalo, America

god bless america from the Anchor Bar, home of the original buffalo wings, in Buffalo, NY, USA

Behind this wall, the brick wall of the Anchor Bar on Main Street in Buffalo, New York the very first Buffalo wing was created and served in 1960s. Now it is a must visit when coming to Buffalo.

So on a day America celebrates its birthday, and many people will say or even sing God Bless America, I imagine a few folks out there will be enjoying some backyard Buffalo Wings (even behind this wall) will also being saying or singing God Bless Buffalo too. Enjoy.

Happy 4th of July to my fellow Americans. Stay adventurous, Craig

A special thanks to the Buffalo-Niagara tourism (at hashtag #BuffaloForReal) for their hospitality and also for the gift certificate that allowed me to try these famed Buffalo wings. Also, stay tuned for more about Buffalo in the weeks ahead, i discovered a city primed for big changes and a place with a historic past.

Mrs O, well, I think in a year + when the construction finishes you will find a vibrant place…a city with a downtown for sports, theatre and an evolving restaurant scene (not just wings)…although I never think Buffalo will be a luxury destination (nor does it want to be) …it is certainly is a unique slice of Americana with a grand history and a optimistic future.

As for those crossing the pond, it depends what you look for or want in a trip…But Buffalo is also very close to Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake (wineries) for those who need a Canadian fix.

      stay adventurous, Craig
