As I settle in to my spring Sunday and watch the Masters Golf Tournament, I reflect on some of my golfing moments. In my youth, I played often, very often, until I discovered surfing in my mid 20s. Today, I may not golf nearly as much, but I occasionally still enjoy time on the course, just like my time on the courses in Punta Mita, Mexico.
After a legendary shot on the Pacifico Course’s Tail of the Whale island green par-3, I visited Punta Mita’s second golf course El Bahia. The beautiful course along the Bay (Bahia) of Banderas was aided by the golden light of the evening. I started to enjoy the beginning of the day’s sunset from the course.
Then when listening to the surf and watching the waves, I asked about surfing. Apparently you can surf many breaks along the golf course too. Well then, apparently, on my next trip to Punta Mita I will plan to combine some Riviera Nayarit surf with some Riviera Nayarit golf. Of course, I also plan to enjoy another Punta Mita sunset too. Happy Sunset Sunday.
Stay adventurous, Craig
