Ever feel the need for speed? If so, you can definitely fill the need if you are heading to Clearwater, Florida and its annual National Speed Boat Championship. My time in the Florida beach town coincided with the special weekend (scheduled for September 25th-27th in 2015), but I discovered the west coast beach town was much more than speed boats. Clearwater, Florida introduced me to west coast and Gulf of Mexico beaches of Florida, and I left rather impressed.
