Vegas
Just the word conjure memories of some really good times for many of us. It has an energy, and optimism and often brings a smile to many faces. Yes, trips to Vegas are unique and extremely memorable. For me, attending a Vegas pool party, became one of my first freelance stories for my young writing career. What a good time and one of the few times I ever missed a flight too.
Sunset View of the Strip
My recent trip was not the same, it wasn’t all pleasure but business as I traveled to attend Spark, an event held by FareHarbor, my business booking engine partner when booking tours for my Florida Keys Food Tour. It showcased educational sessions, one on one meetings, networking opportunities with fellow tour operators and more. Much more. The event was held at the Paris, but with the hotel rates close to rack rates I found a nearby place and staying at the Planet Hollywood.
Reflecting back, I’d select the hotel again, the price point was better and my view on a basic room provided me a chance to appreciate the strip at sunset. The strip complete with the Paris Eiffel Tower and also the Bellagio Water Fountain Show.
2025 Sunset Travel Calendar
This sunset image was also selected for my 2025 Stay Adventurous Travel Calendar. It is classic America, plus it showcases visits to both Paris and Italy on the Vegas Strip. The sunset typically provides the break between the day time fun (business conference) and the Vegas night – always a good time.
