Last month, I accepted the invitation to sail two nights on Royal Caribbean’s new ship, the Quantum of the Seas.The “Smart Ship” designed to take a Quantum Leap forward definitely impressed with its advancements across all offerings including from RipCord by iFly skydiving simulation, the North Star (a 360 degree view of the cruise ship from 300 feet in the air), to newly designed staterooms, diverse dining, and more. At times, I wasn’t sure if I was even on a ship.
But there is never mistake when you are at sea, when you breathe in the fresh air and take in views of ocean. For many, those moments are the very lure to cruising itself. And for me, there is no better moment, than sailing at sunset.
Quantum of the Seas Sunset
On the second evening during the sail to nowhere from Bayonne, NJ, I stopped by the bionic bar and created my own cocktail that I called “Rumming it”(filled with a few rums and brown sugar). From there, I navigated my way back my stateroom to watch the sunset on the Atlantic Ocean.
