The Spanish word “Bitacora” translates to “journal.”
And one of my adventures in Mexico the chance to tell a story through a video journal. These videos, accessible through this page, are essentially a travel log of adventures in two destinations in Mexico. The approach was to find someone who loved Mexico (check), was adventurous (check), and was charismatic (check ;-), to share and showcase Mexico destinations.
Jackpot. They found me.
Once I accepted the role as a “travel host” we traveled through the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta for over ten days of filming. Each day of more than 8 hours of work translated into five plus minute video to highlight the region and showcase how you need to “Live It To Believe It.“
Inside the videos, I interview tourists, business owners, and tour operators. I sample the luxury offerings, experience the available adventurous activities, taste the delicious and delightful cuisine, drink the local tequila, explain my love for Mexico and more. Much more. The videos showcase the possibilities and plethora of pleasures both Puerto Vallarta and the Riviera Nayarit offer its visitors. Essentially it provides a view into what to do in Riviera Nayarit and what to do in Puerto Vallarta.
Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta
It’s marketed as two destinations, one paradise and both the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta are served from the same international airport in Puerto Vallarta (PVR). Both are easily accessible on a single trip to the region too. On this site, there are plenty of Mexico Travel stories to read and review, and you’ll notice plenty of stories from my many adventures to these destinations too.
Although the videos have been up and are all already available to view on YouTube, (search” Craig Zabransky Puerto Vallarta Riviera Nayarit”) I decided to showcase them here during 2017’s Mexican March Madness. and to “release” a post with a video every 2-3 days. The first 1/2 of the month will showcase what to do in the Riviera Nayarit, while after the ides of March, we will showcase what to do in Puerto Vallarta.

It was intense work, but I loved it. I’ll let you be the judge if i have a future in it? But it did spark my return to acting and have recently done three performances with the Key Players in the Florida Keys.
Also, now I actually understand what being in front of the camera represents. I appreciated all the fun, the laughter with friends, and all the hard work too. Yes, I found to produce quality videos from the road with a crew isn’t easy and requires plenty of hours of effort. And even more effort and time after the travel. Plenty of time. So let me also give a hearty “gracias” to the crew for their work ethic, vision and talent. Not to mention, I really enjoyed working with both tourism boards Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta and have returned to area since these videos were produced and hope to return again sometime soon.
Well, I look forward to your thoughts. Watch and enjoy. Happy Mexican March Madness.
Stay Loving Mexico, Craig
