The best beach towns and destinations contain character, hold history, offer good dining options, and also provide visitors the opportunity to appreciate a splendid sunset.
You’ll find all of this on visit to South Padre Island, Texas.
At Pier 19, the character and charm is unmistakable from the restaurant design and décor to even its friendly servers offering patrons some of the finest seafood in the area with a view of the Laguna Madre. The history, not the type from a sleepy social studies class, is more of the history of generation after generation of families and friends coming to visit the destination. Here they share stories of the beach, the sea, and witness the magic of a South Padre Island sunset.
With the charm, seafood menu, and views of the bay, all the ingredients were set for a special sunset and I was not disappointed. The pirate skit and ship armed with cannons and treasures on one side of the pier and also the peaceful moments of viewing the sunset with a cocktail on the other side, it was a place both adults and kids alike all came to appreciate one of the, or perhaps even the, best sunset in South Padre Island.
Happy Sunset Sunday
Stay adventurous, Craig
I was invited guest of Texas Tourism on my trip to visit South Padre Island, but as always the opinions and experiences expressed are uniquely my own.
