We Wish You a Colorful Christmas, the Florida Bay Sunset

There is stillness, a silence in the sunset. At times it is a wonderful shared event such as celebrating milestone moments, other times it is spending the moment in the solitude of nature that makes it so special.

For me, I often enjoy taking my SUP paddle board out on the Florida Bay at sunset. There I am alone at “sea” with the ability to connect back to the cycles and rhythms of life. When I take a camera (or iPhone) I attempt to capture the moment, yet other times I leave technology ashore and focus not just the Florida Keys sunset colors, but appreciate the the fading warmth from the rays of the sun, the motion and movement of the brackish bay water and prepare for the once gentle breeze to strengthen as the daylight fades. I clear my mind and take in the moment, the entire moment.
