Andalusia. It’s labeled essential Spain with good reason. The history, culture, and cuisine – all make for a fantastic trip. With the roots of Columbus in Seville, the tales of the Alhambra in Granada, and the historic bull fighting ring in Ronda, one can easily spend a week inside Andalusia. And if you enjoy eating, make that plural – weeks. I know, I did.
And since I always love my days on the ocean’s edge, I decided to spend a few days on the coast. I wanted to add another Spanish sunset, like the San Sebastian moment, could I find it.
In Andalusia, most visitors vacation at the Costa del Sol resorts, but I decided to follow a different route. I wanted a more historic route. I decided on Cádiz.
I spent two days in the coastal city, one of the oldest in Europe. A city with incredible history and lovely spanish architecture also allows its visitors to relax. Not much to do but walk the city, enjoy the sights and special tastes of Spanish cuisine and take in a sunset. A San Sebastian moment, no – actually a Cadiz moment.
So this week, enjoy the sunset from the spanish sands of Cádiz.
Happy Sunset Sunday.
Stay adventurous, Craig
