I arrived at the perfect time. I arrived at sunset. On my first night back in Mazatlán, I checked in to the Hotel Plaza Mazatlán located on the pacific coast of Mexico just in time for a ‘welcome (back) to Mexico’ sunset.
After dropping my bags, I walked out of my room’s sliding glasses doors to gaze upon the pacific ocean and feel the warmth of Mexico. I took a deep breath; I was back in Mexico. And it almost felt like I returned home.
Then I grabbed my camera and snapped an image to capture the moment. The sun set behind Deer Island and illuminated the sky as people walked along the golden sand after returning from sea. This moment started my month adventure on the west coast of Mexico (and also California). A month I plan to write much about during Mexican March Madness.
